We launch at the BAYOU BAIT AND TACKLE

To get there, the easiest approach from either east or west is to start on Interstate 10 and head toward Baton Rouge if coming from New Orleans or beyond OR head toward New Orleans if coming from Baton Rouge or beyond.

From I-10 you will need to get on I-310 to Boutte/Houma and continue over the "Lulling Bridge."

Follow I-310 (you will go over 1 and a half overpasses) until you get to the US Highway 90 junction, and take the right fork (before the overpass ends) headed WEST toward Raceland and then Houma.

You will proceed on Hwy 90 (it will say "Future Corridor I-49") for approximately 35 minutes until you see the Houma Exits. There will be 3 in all. Skip the first (LA 182) and exit at the second (LA 24) and head south on Hwy 24.

LA 24 will go through downtown Houma and eventually becomes LA 56 (around Presque Isle). From here, you just follow the road almost until it ends. (if you reach the end you missed us) xxxx
